Abstract:Introduction: Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera Linn. Dunal) is an important frequently used herb in Ayurvedic therapeutics. Its numerous parts, including flowers, leaves roots, are said to have wide range health-encouraging properties. Although Ashwagandha’s root been traditionally, it necessitates sacrificing the whole plant. So, there a need explore bio-activities other parts leaf traditionally as ethnomedicine various regions India. Leaves least considered classical literature hardly references for their therapeutic utilities. Considering this, has planned gather evidences against efficacies leaf. Materials Methods: PubMed indexed articles published till 12th September 2022 were reviewed using search strategy "Ashwagandha", “Withania somnifera”, “Ashwagandha AND leaf”, leaf”. Results: Searching by keyword leaf” yielded 252 results, while "Withania leaf" resulted 245 results. Out these 245/252; free full texts only 42 that this review.
